The Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program provides a training in the use of Yoga techniques for healing the body and mind. These practices can be used with any body size, shape or age.

Ayur Yoga – Vata Balancing Therapuetic Yoga Techniques
Addressing Vata through therapeutic yoga techniques, including constipation, nervousness, anxiety, fear, weakness, low energy, scattered mind and more. Train in tailoring classes and private sessions to Vata vitiation. This course includes introduction to yoga therapy theory, vata balancing asana, pranayama and mudras.

Ayur Yoga – Pitta Balancing Therapeutic Yoga Techniques
Addressing Pitta through therapeutic yoga techniques. Tailoring classes and private sessions to Pitta vitiation. This course includes asana, pranayama and mudras.

Ayur Yoga – Kapha Balancing Therapuetic Yoga Techniques

Key Ayurvedic Principles; 5 Elements, 3 Doshas & Constitution
By understanding the five elements, the three doshas, ama, agni, prakriti and vrikriti, we begin to understand the ecology of health and disease. This course covers the Ayurvedic body types and how the play of the elements manifests in biology, in daily and season cycles, in illness and healing. Includes the Anatomy of the three doshas.

Ayurvedic Anatomy & Digestive Health
A deeper understanding of digestion and health comes from the study of the seven dhatus, the seven stages of digestion. Ayurvedic Lifestyle
Ayurveda’s recommended daily program is called Dinacharya. Established thousands of years ago, if offers guidelines which, if followed alongside the recommended Ayurvedic diet, helps us to achieve whole new levels of well-being. It emphasizes whole levels of well-being. It emphasises the importance of a daily routine which corresponds to the calmness and harmony throughout the system. This course includes practices for living in harmony with the five elements throughout the cycles of day and night, and the cycles of the seasons. This course covers often overlooked lifestyle factors that contribute to aam (toxic accumulations) and therefore to illness.

Samkhya philosophy & SiddhaVeda explain two extraordinary views of reality upon which Ayurvedic medicine is based.

Prana, Tejas and Ojas
Prana, Tejas and Ojas are the intellence, vitality and immunity of our body. Without a proper understanding of their purification and balance, then healing is limited. This course covers subtle body anatomy and physiology, nutritional issues and the understanding of the subtle manifestation of the doshas.

Seven Chakras
Anatomy and Metaphysiology of the Seven Chakras and the Nadi system, their role in health, disease and spiritual awakening. In the SiddhaVeda lineage of Ayurveda, the understanding of the chakra system is important for the practice of Marma.

Ayurvedic Cleansing
The six shat karmas, including sutra neti and vari saur dhauti, intestinal cleansing with salt water to eliminate stagnant material, toxins and excess mucous and bile. Learn the yoga postures for expediting cleansing.

The Science of Prana
The Five Pranas are the subdoshas of Vata. By understanding the five pranas we can understand how to bring the body back into balance through correcting vitiated Vata. This course includes Pranayama for the three doshas, Therapuetic use of pranayama.

Understanding the Hidden Causes of Chronic Pain, Mental and Emotional Pain. Includes Home remedies for pain and injuries, therapeutic yoga for back pain, neck and shoulder pain and headaches. Traditional Home Remedies, Herbs and Exogenous Therapies for Pain Relief, Meditation and Breathing Practices for Pain Relief.

Yoga for Strength & Flexibility
Vinyasa is a flowing dynamic form of yoga in which movement and postures are synchronized with the movement of the breath. The smooth movement of the poses from one to the next become like a dance as strength, flexibility, and mindfulness are cultivated.  Appropriate for all ages who have a moderate level of fitness

Yoga for Deep Relaxation
A gentle, nurturing hatha yoga practice that heals, balances, and rejuvenates the body. This is a practice of bringing awareness and deep restorative, relaxation of the body. Appropriate for all ages and levels of fitness.
